Purge vs Splurge-Shopping Your Closet Made Easy with Sti’l Trust!

With more and more people turning to virtual shopping, it’s no wonder that subscription and stylist services have begun to pop up. One of the latest to appear is The Sti’l Trust (pronounced style), an online service for busy, style-minded women and men to easily access fast and expert styling advice tailored to their personal tastes.

Going from Scrubs to Shopinista, Dr. Asbasia Mikhail created the new app Sti’l Trust for people who, just like her, had no style. But instead of reinventing and starting a wardrobe from scratch, Asbasia encourages people to use what they already have in their closets, easing people into a new style with items they’re already comfortable with, and all within their budget.

Asbasia is an American Egyptian who was born in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated to the states as a toddler with her parents in the early 1970’s. She studied medicine and has been practicing emergency medicine for the last 20 years.

Due to wearing a school uniform for the first 18 years of her life, Asbasia never had to worry about choosing an outfit. But later into her professional years, she found it more and more difficult to find a complete look that fit her personal style, especially after becoming a mother. With a growing number of responsibilities to juggle, she often didn’t have the luxury of time to shop for herself. After running into this problem time and time again (and realizing she was not alone), she came up with the idea of a service where people could ask an expert online for fashion advice. Fast-forward 15 years and that idea has blossomed into The Stīl Trust.

Now the app has helped many people by matching them up with a personalized stylist that they can regularly be in contact with whenever they need an outfit. By uploading pictures of the clothes into the app’s “virtual closet”, their expert stylist will be able to help them pick out other clothes that will help them feel new, refreshed, and ready for any situation or occasion.
