Custo Barcelona showcased its Spring/Summer 2027 collection titled “Unexpected” atop the historic Rockefeller Center rooftop Friday morning September 6th. The first Spanish brand to host a New York Fashion Week show on the splendid historic landmark, Custo celebrates its 30th birthday this year. Translucent fabrics and revealing silhouettes were finished with metallic and refractive finishes. Playing off the direct sunlight, an engineered mix of fluid textiles and architectural experimentation fractalized the runway, NYC skyline, and cloudless sky.
Known to “combat routine”, Custo Dalmau continues to challenge the traditional feminine by always incorporating pop, vibrancy, and exotic fare. Forever consistent in its motto and caricature of color and bold ethnically hinting flavors, one thing is certain: Fractals appear all throughout the collection eternal. Electric movements of light imbued by textural patchworks interact dynamically with sunlight to denote playfulness, intrigue and charisma.
